Vienna's public transport network covers 1.150 km. The five subway lines, 28 tram lines and 128 bus lines bring you quickly and reliably to your destination.

The Vienna Transport Authority operates nearly 20 hours per day. The underground trains (U-Bahn) run from about 5:00 a.m. in the morning to about midnight Trams and buses normally stop running earlier. You can find detailed information in the schedules for the individual lines. 

Safely through the night.  Vienna's subway lines operate 24 hours a day on Friday night, Saturday night and on the nights before holidays. The trains run at 15-minute intervals. The night buses operate daily from 12:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. in 30-minute cycles. On the weekends, the schedule is adapted to the continuous subway operation. You can use the night subway and the night buses.

The WienMobil app is a great way for you to travel, whether by public transport, on foot, by bicycle, taxi, or in a carsharing car. The services of various providers are conveniently bundled in the mobility app of Wiener Linien. The app displays more than just public transport routes. It also includes bicycle paths and footpaths, rides in taxis or carsharing vehicles in the route planning with one or a combination of all means of transport. The app also allows various means of transport to be booked and paid for. This means you can conveniently buy tickets for public transport from the comfort of your home, hotel or on the road. It is also possible to order a taxi or have the location of a carsharing vehicle displayed, or even to reserve it in advance. The app can be downloaded and used free of charge. However, the mobile provider may charge for downloading and use. The app can be downloaded free of charge from the Google Play Store and the App Store
