Barcelona unparalleled when it comes to variety! Medieval quarters and futuristic architecture, ancient monuments and revolutionary sculptures, long beaches and high mountains, two thousand years of history and cosmopolitan spirit, very efficient during the day, but still enjoying life at night!
Welcoming, plural, and diverse as this city is the World Meeting which brings together experts from all over the world seeking scientific exchange at a highly professional level. Originally organised by two pharmaceutical associations the French APGI (Association de Pharmacie Galιnique Industrielle) and the German APV (International Association for Pharmaceutical Technology) and first held in Budapest in 1995, this congress has gained an everincreasing importance among the pharmaceutical players worldwide. More than 1,000 students, scientists, members of the relevant authorities and the pharmaceutical industry are expected to join the 6th World Meeting with now 18 cooperating pharmaceutical associations and, for the first time, including pharmaceutical organisations from Scandinavia and the Baltic States.
The scope of the programme will be expanded by special symposia in order to meet the growing demand for an exchange of expertise within the pharmaceutical industry. Each topic is dealt with in several talks held by renowned experts and invited speakers. The topics include Quality by Design, Process Analytical Technology (PAT), formulation of poorly soluble and permeable drugs, preformulation and new excipients, polymorphism and amorphous systems, as well as biogenerics.
A large number of oral sessions and poster presentations will give both young and established scientist the chance to present their work, learn about new research results and talk about their experience with collegues on the following issues:
